Mercedes-Benz 300SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé

This coupé version of the 300 SLR racing car was developed by Daimler-Benz for the 1956 season. It was designed under the supervision of the then head of the MB racing car department, Rudolf Uhlenhaut. The nickname "Uhlenhaut Coupé" is a reminder of this today. However, it was never used in racing because Mercedes Benz withdrew from motorsport after the end of the season in 1955. The MB 300 SLR is one of the most spectacular and expensive super sports cars ever built way ahead of its time even then.

MODEL

LEGRAND 1/8 kits are made from high quality materials. The body of the model, which weighs around 8 kg, is made of die-cast metal and has already been painted. The kit of more than 900 parts is easy to assemble and contains parts made of various materials such as metal, rubber, textiles and high-quality plastic. Most components are screwed and plugged in. If there are only a few parts, gluing with a model adhesive is recommended. The steering and suspension are functional, and doors and flaps can also be opened prototypically. The model pictures show hand samples. Series production can vary in details.
